DAY 1: YOU ARE GOOD AND DO GOOD

I wrote Counting My Blessings out a a deep conviction of the goodness of God. The gratitude expressed in this song is not because I just got a big bonus, a raise or a promotion. Those are good reasons for us to rejoice and be thankful. Unfortunately, too often we are only grateful when life is good, but once things are difficult, we develop an ungrateful spirit.

Our situation may change from good to bad – bad to worse, but our God is always good. He is good on the mountain tops, but especially good in the valleys lows.

This is the God I want you to encounter in this season. His goodness is surely chasing you down. So lift those weary hands that hang low, strengthen those week knees, and get ready to walk in the path of gratitude. For God is good even in difficult times!
