Not by might nor by power

After Israel returned from their 70 year Babylonian exile- God raised up a prophet of restoration. His name was Zechariah. His ministry was to encourage and mobilize God’s people to accomplish a task that they had begun – but lost the momentum for completion. I’m I talking to anybody today who God assigned a task to accomplish but you lost your momentum? Due to adversed circumstances, demonic opposition, or jealous people – you lost your momentum. God says, get ready for acceleration… He said to tell you that it will not happen by might, nor by power. Might represents – a collective of super smart and innovative people. You’ve assembled a team of gifted leaders and very talented people – God says, you did good – but there’s another source. Power represents – the one superstar, the show stopper, the headliner, the gifted speaker, the talented musician. You thought, if we can only get him, if we can only get her – it’s gonna be a game changer – but God says you did well …

When people abandon you, and others blame you: 7 Things to consider

When people abandon you, and others blame you for what went wrong – what should be your attitude? 7 Things I am learning about that: 1. Take responsibility. No matter how out of your control the situation was, it happened on your watch. And as a leader, everyone involved should feel like you genuinely take responsibility. 2. Commit your feelings to the Lord. In any event, He is bigger than your feelings. When the criticisms, judgments, and abandonment become real and you feel rotten, commit your feelings to Him. 3. Seek wisdom from trusted friends and leaders. See it as a teachable moment. 4. Keep your heart from becoming resentful and bitter by inviting God into the situation. 5. Often times when we are misunderstood we want to make everyone aware of our righteousness. Don’t seek to justify yourself or your actions. Let your heart settle in the fact that God saw how much you invested and how much you still care. 6. Care enough to pray – not for God to straighten them out …

Reflections on John 4:10

All of history, prophesy and promise, is completed in Jesus. Your whole life is completed in Jesus. Every part of your life: your work, family, relationships, friends, memories and dreams are completed in Jesus. Nicky & Pippa Gumbel “Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”” John 4:10 ESV If you knew the gift of God, you would throw yourself in the arms of Jesus: That gift is a gift of eternal life That gift is a gift of unconditional love That gift is a gift of forgiveness That gift is a gift of peace with God and peace of God That gift is a gift of freedom If you understood the value and worth of the gift: You would run through fire to obtain it You would scale a wall to get it You would search diligently for it until you found it You would sell …

Day #11: I am empowered by grace

Grace isn’t a little prayer you chant before receiving a meal. It’s a way to live.” The law tells me how crooked I am. Grace comes along and straightens me out.” Dwight Lyman Moody Titus 2:11, 12, “The grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people,12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age .” If there is anything in our faith life that is most abused, misused and misconstrued it is our grace life. We see and use grace sometimes only as a cover for sin. We use grace sometimes as a license to sin. We define grace sometimes only as unmerited favor to get us into heaven. But grace is so much more. Check out these scripture references: Sufficient Grace “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 Overflowing Grace “God …

Day #8: I am Blessed & Highly Favored

God’s unmerited favor is the only reason why all things, including the bad and the ugly, work together for good. Luke 1:28, “you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” If you believe that God has favorite sons and daughters, you’ve believed a lie. Truth is, God favors every one of us equally. It is this unmerited favor – grace, if you will, that allows Him to meet each and every one of us at the point of our need. How do I know I and blessed and highly favored? I am always on his mind “Who am I that you are mindful of me. That you have set your affection upon me, paying me regular visits every morning?” Job 7:17. The Psalmist also has a similar word in Psalm 8: Who am I that you are mindful of me. That you care for me. That you crowned me with glory and honor. That you gave me dominion over your work. The thoughts He thinks of me For I know the plans I …

When Heaven invades Earth

A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven. Apostle John Here are 10 Bible verses about heaven invading earth: Your kingdoms come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10 But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Luke 11:20 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on …

Falling in Love with Jesus

Hi everyone, I was doing some sound check with our new video camera singing this song. The voice, sound and light is not perfect – and neither am I, but I love the Lord with all my heart. May He bring you assurance today and may He cause you to feel His protection and love as I sing this over you!
