Every family needs to have love, integrity and a good and balanced work ethic at the center of their lives. The lack of these qualities and a misguided sense of purpose have thrown many families in a downward spiral, failing to finish stronger than they started. In the text above, Caleb comes to Joshua and reminds him of things that happened about 45 years earlier when God told them to enter the promise land. Jonah not only refuses to share his faith, cultivate intimacy with God in his presence, care deeply for the welfare of others, but today we see him edging God out of his prayer life. The bible tells us that Jonah was asleep at the bottom of the ship. Someone may say well, hold it right there, Jonah prays in the belly of the fish.. That’s prayer!
