Christmas Note
“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.”
Galatians 4:4-5 ESV
What dies the fullness of time mean?
The scripture says there is a time and a season for everything and everyone. My time and season may vary greatly from yours. But it is important to keep this truth in the back of your mind when waiting on a promise to be fulfilled or trusting God to answer a prayer.
We see this on full display in the arrival of Jesus. It had been foretold or prophesied long ago that God would send a Savior – One who would bring salvation and rescue His people from they sin by coming into their world, dying, and resurrecting from the dead.
But God had to align everything for His arriving. Take a look at the following six factors that God had to bring about before Christ’s arrival.
Six Culminating Factors to Jesus‘coming
1. God put in the hearts and minds of Israel – a holy anticipation of the Messiah.
2. God allowed the rise of the Roman Empire a time of peace – making it possible for free travel.
3. God made the Greek language so common – making it possible for the gospel to spread abroad
4. God send Jesus just in time – to satisfy the Spiritual emptiness of the time
5. God put on full display a bloody Savior in a time where religion demanded a bloody sacrifice
6. God allowed Christian’s to join the Roman Army. And these Christians spread the gospel to every province to which they were went.
What can we take away from all the above, and how can I apply it to my life today?
1. The promise God has spoken over your life will come to pass.
2. God is working to bring everything into alignment
3. When the right time comes – He will bring to pass what He has spoken over your life.
4. Don’t lose he’s- don’t be discouraged- don’t doubt God – keep waiting and looking
5. God never gives up – there is a fullness of time on every one of His promises.
Conclusions
So, as a reminder to all those who are waiting for something from the Lord – God has not forgotten you. This fullness of time is an appointment to destiny! Embrace it and wait on Him – He will make all things beautiful in His fullness/appointed time
