I have never met anyone who doesn’t dream about being happy. There is this thing inside us that long for a happy life. I don’t think happiness is a bad thing to want. Our loving heavenly Father planned for our happiness. The very idea of “Shalom” in the Bible – “nothing missing – nothing broken” speaks to that fact that God provides for our happiness.
However, I also think most of go about looking for happiness The wrong way.
We seek to fill that God-Shape Vacuum (that only He alone can fill) with things that don’t satisfy.
First Things First
Most people do not know better, so they go about seeking happiness the wrong way. They go for pleasures of all kinds, but it leaves them empty and longing for more. They go for status, fame and money, but soon realize that these things just can’t deliver true happiness. They go for self-help books that only scratch the surface of how to find true happiness.
Jesus said, “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and you shall have all these things.” Holiness is what we should seek first, not happiness. Happiness is a product of Holiness.

Holiness differs nothing from happiness but in name. Holiness is happiness in the bud, and happiness is holiness at the full. Happiness is nothing else but the quintessence of holiness. An absolute fullness of holiness will make an absolute fullness of happiness. Too often
We hinder our happiness by unholy lifestyles.
We bring sadness to our lives by carnal choices and indulgences.
We sabotage our deep sense of satisfaction and fulfillment by our disobedience to a loving God.
We disturb and disrupt the peace, harmony and sense of purpose in our lives by ignoring His will/plan.
- They eat the fruit of the labor of their hands
- They shall be blessed, and it shall be well with them
- Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house
- Your children will be like olive shoots around your table
- You will see your children’s children
- Peace Shall be upon you
Now, that’s what I’m talking about – Nothing Missing – Nothing Broken. Holiness is the true source of Happiness. Seek Holiness First and Happiness come unto you.
If you want happiness in your relationship – seek holiness.
If you want happiness in your life – seek holiness.
If you want happiness in your vocational and professional life – seek holiness.
Holiness is what it takes. There is no other way!

In fact Holiness is the result of real salvation through Jesus Christ.
Therefore It is more than possible in this day and hour through the help empowered by the Holy Spirit to live holy and pleasing to God without Fail 1 John 2- chapter 3:1-9.
In Fact one of the blessings that the Lord Jesus Mentions: Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.” And this holds true through the Book of Acts. the Apostle Paul was so close to God that he saw with his own eyes the Lord Jesus Christ on a few occasions (Acts 18:9-10/Acts 23:11) and God has not changed. He is still the same yesterday, today and forever. He is no respecter of persons. The relationship He gave to the apostle Paul, He can give to anyone of us. All that is required of us is to love the Lord, be obedient to Him in order to be sensitive to the Lord and be a living sacrifices holy and pleasing to God as our reasonable service. That’s it. Specifically Biblical holiness is the Key to having a real close relationship with God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Another reward we will receive in eternity in Heaven if we do not compromise holiness nor give up is the Crown of Life- James 1:12. And He who called us to be holy (2 Corinthians 6:14-18) is holy (Revelation 4:8-9)
lastly: in order for the church to make a powerful impact in this anti-christ society in the name of Lord Jesus Christ, Biblical holiness is required in God’s children because God does not anoint or use unclean, unholy, corrupt, sinful dirty temples as His instrument of righteousness (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) Thus our bodies were not originally designed by God as instrument of sin and corruption but it’s original design is to be the Holy Temple of the living God the Holy Spirit to dwell in us richly and powerfully.

Praise the Lord Brother! I Thank you for stirring me up to add to this great post you shared from the Lord’s heart. Iron sharpens Iron. And this post “Holy, Holy, Holy VS Happy, Happy, Happy” makes my heart joyful in the Lord seeing a minister of Lord emphasize the importance of Biblical holiness in this day and hour. Holiness and happiness truly do go hand in hand. You cannot have one without the other and thank you for sharing and proving this fact. So true. The world is looking in all the wrong places for happiness. Holiness comes from seeking the Lord first, and loving Him with all your heart. I would like to say the same thing about happiness, but I’m not sure. Jeremiah spoke for God (“Thus saith the Lord”} and was severely persecuted by his contemporaries for it. But he is present with the LORD now and forever. That’s happiness.
