Preeminent Worship

Worship songs nowadays are becoming more about- breakthroughs, miracles signs, and wonders.  That’s good, but not good enough! In other cases, worship has become more about the worship leader – his/her talent:  how he/she sounds how he/she looks is the song current or fire etc… The magnificence and grandeur of Jesus is the last thing we consider – if we ever do, for a worship set.  We want the glory of the Lord to be made manifest in and through worship – but we fail to  invoke  His redemption work, the wonder of the cross, and the awe inspiring splendor of Jesus.  No matter why He never shows up in His fullness, and the worshipper left wanting for more.  When you sing or lead the church in praise of Jesus, let His life, death, and resurrection- His current ministry and His forever reign – take priority , and be the center attraction . Only then can we elevate worship to the place it needs to be. I would argue – that everything aforementioned – (breakthroughs, …

A restful trust in His authority

“He did not speak to them without a parable, but privately to his own disciples he explained everything. And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭34‬, ‭39‬-‭41‬ ‭ESV‬‬ When Jesus fell asleep in the boat during a massive storm – it was a purposeful and deliberate action.  One that was meant to move His disciples to a posture of restful trust – instead – they were fearful of losing their lives and blamed Jesus for not caring enough.  If Jesus didn’t care – He would not have been in that boat. Three questions for us: You see…  sleeping,  for Jesus, does not mean unawareness or indifference to dangers surrounding Him or His followers. It means absolute confidence …

7 Meaningful Lyrical Quotes

Introduction Anyone can write a song and put it to music, but writing a meaningful song with meaningful lyrics the express the art and beauty of songwriting coupled with the sound that carry it is truly a gift. More than that, writing a song is all about capturing the heart heart of God and expressing it back to Him. Here are 7 song that I believe does just that: “If to know the power of Your resurrection means laying down my life that’s what I’ll do – to follow You – take me deeper.” (Take me deeper., Crossroads Music). “I’ll take You at Your Word, if You said it I believe it, I’ve seen how good it works, if You start You’ll complete it, I take You at Your Word.” (Take You at Your Word…, Cody Carnes & Benjamin William Hastings) “I can write a thousand songs and never capture heaven’s love.” (A thousand tongues… Thrive Worship) “In the field of doubt plant a seed of faith – I’ll send the rain.” (Seed of faith… …

At just the right time

Christmas Note “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” Galatians 4:4-5 ESV What dies the fullness of time mean? The scripture says there is a time and a season for everything and everyone. My time and season may vary greatly from yours. But it is important to keep this truth in the back of your mind when waiting on a promise to be fulfilled or trusting God to answer a prayer. We see this on full display in the arrival of Jesus. It had been foretold or prophesied long ago that God would send a Savior – One who would bring salvation and rescue His people from they sin by coming into their world, dying, and resurrecting from the dead. But God had to align everything for His arriving. Take a look at the following six factors that God had to bring about before Christ’s arrival. …

Living Life On Assignment

A LIFE LIVED ON ASSIGNMENT IS THE MOST DANGEROUS THREAT TO THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS Our text is found in the book of Mark chapter 4:35ff “That same day, after it grew dark, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross over to the other side of the lake.” Leaving the crowd behind, the disciples got into the boat in which Jesus was already sitting, and they took him with them. Other boats sailed with them. Suddenly, as they were crossing the lake, a ferocious storm arose, with violent winds and waves that were crashing into the boat until it was nearly swamped. So they shook him awake, saying, “Teacher, don’t you even care that we are all about to die!” Fully awake, he rebuked the storm and shouted to the sea, “Hush! Be still!” All at once the wind stopped howling and the water became perfectly calm.” Mark 4:35-37, 39 TPT Everything Jesus did while here on this earth He did on purpose and with intentionality. He live a life on Assignment. When Jesus said …
