12 Powerful words or phrases that command Heaven’s Attention

Part 1 The bible say “without faith it is impossible to please God.” God is always pleased when His children exercise their faith. It attract his attention and pleases him enormously. Here are a few instances in the bible when faith caught heaven’s attention: Our God is able to deliver… Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us… and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up. Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?” Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods. Daniel 3:16-24 Just say the word… I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, …

A passionate Tozer Prayer

O Lord, I have heard Thy voice and was afraid. Thou hast called me to an awesome task in a grave and perilous hour. Thou are about to shake all nations and the earth and also heaven, that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. O Lord, our Lord, Thou has stopped to honor me to be Thy servant. No man takes this honor upon himself save he that is called of God as was Aaron. Thou has ordained me Thy messenger to them that are stubborn of heart and hard of hearing. They have rejected Thee, the Master, and it is not to be expected that they will receive me, the servant. My God, I shall not waste time deploring my weakness nor my unfittedness for the work. The responsibility is not mine but Thine. Thou hast said, “I knew thee—I ordained thee—I sanctified thee,” and Thou has also said, “Thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.” Who am I to argue …

Too hot for him to handle

A few years ago one of best friends lived in Accra, Ghana. He got his monthly pay check one beautiful Friday just before he left work. His first stop was at a local bank where he cashed his check than sped to the local market to get supplies for the weekend. After walking around for a few minutes, he reached into his pocket to retrieve his wallet. To his surprise, it was gone together with every penny he had to his name. He didn’t know that someone had picked his pocket and lifted his wallet. He sat down in disbelief wondering how he was going to get through the month. Well, being a godly, praying man of God, he bowed his head and said a prayer. After the amen was said, my friend decided to stay seated for a few more minutes, as he braced himself for a few difficult days ahead. All of a sudden, a young man showed up with my friend’s wallet in his hand . The young man shaking and sweating, …

Increase my level of compassion

We are holding a three-day revival meeting at our church and it is incredible what the Lord is doing in the hearts and lives of people. But as we continue visiting homes in the community along with my guest speaker, we have been overwhelmed with how much people are hurting. They are all around us, and if we would just step outside of our comfort zones we will be able to not only see them, but also respond to them and their situation with a high level of compassion. And a leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, “If you will, you can make me clean.” Moved with pity (compassion) he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” Mark 1:40-41 Oh Lord! How I long for Christ’s mighty compassion to be revealed through me; so that the hopeless, hurting, and alone can see Christ’s love shining in and through me. Amen!

Mercy, Mercy, Mercy

God is rich in mercy Ephesians . 2:4 Because of God’s mercy, salvation in Christ is available to the world (Titus 3:5) The earth is full of God’s mercy (Ps. 119:64). God’s mercy reaches to the heavens (Ps. 36:5; 57:10). God’s mercy is the ground for a person’s appeal to God in times of trouble (Ps. 59:16). God hears us when we pray because of his mercy (Ps. 66:20). Above everything else, God demands mercy of us. In God’s sight, mercy is superior to religious activities (Hos. 6:6). The prophet Micah said that God requires us to “do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God (Mic. 6:8). Mercy is love with hands and feet. It is not a vague, general benevolence but a love that shows compassion in deed as well as word. Hope comes alive in people because of God’s mercy (1 Peter 1:3). To be merciful toward our fellow humans means to have compassion on those who are at our mercy. Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery, “Go, …
