Strong Finish: Part 1 Strong Family

The graveyard is the riches place on earth, because it is here that you find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were ever sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because some one was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or decide to carry out their dreams. -Les Brown What’s your hope and dream for your family? How determined are you to see it come to fruition? Every family needs Jesus as foundation of their home. Every family has to have a sense of mission and purpose at the heart of the home. Every family needs to have love, integrity and a good and balanced work ethic at the center of their lives. The lack of these qualities and a misguided sense of purpose have thrown many families in a downward spiral, failing to finish stronger than they started. A lot of families are running after too many things that really don’t matter. …

From Prison to Prime Minister: 7 principles for divine favor

When we read the bible, especially ancient stories like that of Joseph, the first question that comes to mind is – is this applicable in my life, is this relevant for our time? The answer to those questions is very simple. God made sure that what is recorded in the scripture will transcend time and minister to subsequent generations. If it worked for them, it will work for us. So “Yes”, God can raise you up from nothing. He can elevate you beyond your qualifications. He can promote you and cause you to be more influential than your peers. Let me share with you 7 Principles about how that can come about: Destiny Destiny is not necessarily where we can take ourselves but where God can take us. It is the prophetic promise on our live. It is his dream not ours. However we need to embrace his plan and align our lives with it. Joseph held dearly unto every revelation God gave to him. He wrapped his entire life around it and it lifted …

Choosing to Live life on purpose

One of the reasons why I decided to start a blog and actually give it the title “where are you… Where are you going?”, can actually be summarized in a very few words. I want my life to really count. And if I can inspire somebody to think the way I do, and do the things I do to make my life count, than at least in this small portion of my life I have succeeded big time. At the end if my life, I want my wife and kids, my friends and loved ones to say that I was the husband, the father and the man that I was created to be. That I lived my life exceptionally well and left this earth with no regrets. I want to leave a legacy that generations after me will not easily forget. I want to go out with a deep satisfaction that I did my best to serve God and my family. I want to leave this place knowing that I was able to discover God’s …

Footprints – Leaving a Legacy

In his book, Crazy Love, Francis Chan tells a story about a very young girl by the name of Brooke Bronkowski that challenged me in such a way that I found myself saying I want to be like Brooke when I grow up. Brooke was a 14 year of girl… loved Jesus, started and led a bible study group at her school. According to Chan At age 12 she wrote the following: I’ll live my life to the fullest. I’ll be happy. I’ll brighten up. I will be more joyful than I have ever been. I will be kind to others. I will loosen up. I will tell others about Christ. I will go on adventures and change the world. I will be bold and not change who I really am. I will have no troubles but instead help others with troubles. You see, I’ll be one of those people who live to be history makers at a young age. Oh, I’ll have moments, good and bad, but I will wipe away the bad and only remember the …

It pays good to fear the Lord,,,

Who is the man who fears the LORD? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land. The friendship of the LORD is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant. My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for he will pluck my feet out of the net. Psalm 25:13-15. The word man in the passage is a generic therm and includes female. So anyone (both male and female who fears the Lord can rest assure that they will be rewarded. Six enduring blessings from this portion of scripture: The Lord makes It easier for you to discover His will, his direction and His plans. One of the reasons why people find it hard to understand the will of God is because of hidden and unconfessed sin. Sin tends to create spiritual dullness and insensitivity. Romans 12:2 says, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your …

I wish I could have told him in the Living Years

I wasn’t there that morning When my Father passed away I didn’t get to tell him All the things I had to say… Here’s a great video & song from the 80’s from Mike & the Mechanics “The Living Years”. The video being shot in West Somerset,England (Oct ’88) with the beautiful scenery with this song show why the 80’s (& early 90’s also) were great.Though we can’t go back in time (not yet at least) as long as we have videos & songs like these then they will give us a chance to go back & remember the good times, the bad times & the best times of our lives FOREVER! Remember & Never Forget! Every generationBlames the one beforeAnd all of their frustrationsCome beating on your doorI know that I’m a prisonerTo all my Father held so dearI know that I’m a hostageTo all his hopes and fearsI just wish I could have told him in the living yearsCrumpled bits of paperFilled with imperfect thoughtStilted conversationsI’m afraid that’s all we’ve gotYou say you just don’t see itHe …
