Beautiful Ugly Scars

At 4 I started skipping school to go play what we call football, not America Football, but Football – the real deal. If you are still confused, I am talking about soccer. I can’t begin to tell you how many scars I have on my body from injuries playing soccer. But as rough as soccer can be, my most painful and visible scars did not come from playing soccer. I have eleven stitches on my right pinkie and 9 stitches on the right side of my face close to my ear and they were inflicted on me by my evil sister. The injuries were punishment for telling on her. She was not to bring boys home, but one evening I caught her in the back yard kissing a guy. When she realized that I had flagged her down, she came after me with a vengeance. Her weapon of choice was one of those hard old fashioned¬†Swedish Slippers. The next thing I knew, I was being rushed to the hospital. All of us carry some kind …

And these signs shall follow you

From time to time I come across some very very interesting people. My favorite are those who really have a desire to see God move in the Church. Whatever that might mean to them. I appreciate their passion and zeal for the things of God – I really do. I like to spend time with people like these. I almost always end up spending time in prayer or praise with them. Where is the move of God? They ask. Where is the miraculous,? They question. Why are we not seeing the things we see happening in the Bible? These questions …

Isolating the healing power of the blood

I read an article the other day that spoke about a new medical practice that is gaining traction at least in the sports world.¬†Doctors have now come up with a strategy to speed up the healing process to injuries by isolating the healing part of the blood to targeted areas in order to speed up the healing process. They are using nothing else but blood from the human body to bring healing. When we actually take a closer look at what God has set in place and is doing in our bodies through the blood that runs through our veins, we will be amazedby it. Check them out: The blood -transports oxygen and nutrients to all cells of the body-transports carbon dioxide and other waste products away from the cells-transports chemical messengers, called hormones, to the cells-maintains the pH of body fluids-Distributes heat and maintaing body temperature-maintains water content and ion concentration of the body fluidsprotects the body against disease-causing microorganisms All of these in and of themselves are incredible. God has designed things to …
