Healing is a mystery. It is above my pay grade. I don’t know all the reasons why things happen or don’t happen. My job is to show up and pray in the name of Jesus. Randy Clark
1 Peter 2:24
“Who his own self-bare our sins in his own body on the tree that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
At the heart of the matter about healing is the character of God. Is He who He says He is? Would He do what He says He would do? Is His word reliable?
For starters, it is safe to say that God wills for us to be healed:
“Then a man with a skin disease came to Jesus. The man bowed down before him and said, “Lord, you can heal me if you will.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man and said, “I will. Be healed!” And immediately the man was healed from his disease.” Matthew 8:2, 3.
When I read this verse, two things stand out to me:
- Jesus said, ‘I will’ – that is an clear statement that He wills our healing
- Jesus said, ‘Be Healed – And IMMEDIATELY the man was healed
Your experience may not be the same as this man’s. Maybe you’ve sought healing for yourself or for someone you loved and cared about and the healing didn’t happen. We have all experienced disappointments. And we all have questions about why we didn’t get healed or why that loved one didn’t get healed. But it doesn’t change the fact that God is a healing God. And He has promised to heal all our sickness and diseases.
Today, I encourage you to allow your heart to remain tender toward the Lord. Live expectantly. Do not lose heart. Continue to trust Him for your healing. Our Father is good, and He’ll make all things good in His time.
The reason He sent His Son into the world was to destroy all the works of the evil one. Therefore, rejoice in Him today, rest in His promise and let your confidence be His faithfulness.
Prayer
Father, I am hopeful, full of faith expectant. My times are in your hands and your grace will never fail me. Thank you for healing me – In Jesus’ Name – Amen!
Can you resend me day number 1 please? I deleted it I guess?? Thanks for the encouragement through sharing the word and it’s meaning to you. Jeremy

What does it mean to be human? It means we are created in the image of God for the glorious reality of being in permanent fellowship with Him. Ravi Zacharias
Genesis 1:27, “So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Welcome to day number 1 and thanks for joining me on this 21-day journey of discovering who we are in Christ.
If you do not have an image problem or struggle with issues concerning your self-esteem or confidence, then you are one of the most fortunate people on planet earth. But the fact remains that every one of us struggles with some kind of complex.
That is why it is important that we are reminded that we are created in the very image of God. What that means is – I am defined not by what my culture, others, or even myself think about me. I am defined by who God says I am.
Psalm 139:14: I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
I am not a mistake
I am beautiful
I am powerful
I am unique and special, one of a kind
I am talented
I am gifted
I am creative
I am loved. Someone thinks highly of you, someone is crazy about you
I am strong
I am a winner
I am Smart and intelligent
Colossians 1:16 – For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him and for him
So tell yourself today that you are a Masterpiece… because that is exactly who you are.
Prayer:
Father, I am so thankful that you created me in your image and your likeness. Thank you that you purposed my entire life to be conformed to the very image of Christ your Son. So today let everything that does not resemble you fall by the way, and stamp in me the exact representation of your being. In Jesus Name – Amen!
