Isolating the healing power of the blood

c. 1570

I read an article the other day that spoke about a new medical practice that is gaining traction at least in the sports world. Doctors have now come up with a strategy to speed up the healing process to injuries by isolating the healing part of the blood to targeted areas in order to speed up the healing process. They are using nothing else but blood from the human body to bring healing.

When we actually take a closer look at what God has set in place and is doing in our bodies through the blood that runs through our veins, we will be amazedby it. Check them out: The blood

-transports oxygen and nutrients to all cells of the body
-transports carbon dioxide and other waste products away from the cells
-transports chemical messengers, called hormones, to the cells
-maintains the pH of body fluids
-Distributes heat and maintaing body temperature
-maintains water content and ion concentration of the body fluids
protects the body against disease-causing microorganisms

All of these in and of themselves are incredible. God has designed things to function that way. It’s almost like a miracle in motion. Now, If God can provide healing through the blood that runs through your veins; if He has placed a healing power in the physical realm, how much more can he heal you by the blood of his son Jesus who bled for your sicknesses and diseases?

The Bible tells me that

“he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.”

The actual translation of this passage is – “by his stripes we have been made whole.” that is a past tense. What that means is that God, through Jesus has already provided for your healing. I believe in the natural order of healing, for example – the 7 functions of the blood; the use of medicine, where Leviticus 13, 14 is like a health care manuel where God reveals regulations regarding the treatment of diseases. I also believe in healthy choice in the way we eat and live. For example, proverbs 3 provides wisdom on healthy living and chapter 4 reveals how the attitude of the heart affects the issues of life. But I also believe in divine healing. Divine  healing is made possible through the atonement. When Jesus was crucified, his blood not only purchased of redemption but it also brought healing

for every sickness and disease. Isaiah 53:5

I don’t know what kind of sickness or illness you are battling now, but God has not forgotten you. By His stripes you are healed. Believe it, claim it, proclaim it rest in it. You may not feel right, but hold onto it. The Bible calls Him healer. That is his nature. He has not stopped healing. If He is healer by nature, than He has not changed. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

He says, I am your physician – this is what I do. Exodus 15:26
