Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Joshua 1:5 “No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Matthew 28:20 “teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” What an incredible promise! He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will always be with you. This is a truth that should inspire confidence and trust. Let me give a few examples of realize people who experienced this promise first-hand. The Apostle John Domitian had John thrown into a cauldron of boiling oil before the Porta Latina at Rome but John suffered no injury! The only way that Domitian could get rid of him was to banish him into exile. Imagine being banished on an island and left there all by yourself. But the good news here is that The lord will never leave you nor forsake you. He was there with John. Here is the lesson: There is no place physical or spiritual you can go that will keep God from reaching you and staying with you. In prison or jail he will seek you and find you. Sin or sickness, he will pursue and find you. Joseph Hated by his own brothers, sold into slavery, lied on by a desperate house wife, put into prison, forgotten there a man who failed to deliver on a promise. Yet, from the very outset it was in God’s plan to use every and any circumstance that came his way until his ultimate plan was fulfilled. In Joseph’s own words, “what you intended for evil God used for good… And that “God was with Joseph. Here is the lesson: God is never surprised by tragedies, tribulations, and trials that come our way. And none of them pose any challenge to his power that is so mightily at work in you. Moses and the children of Israel The red sea before them; the armies of Pharaoh behind. To there left mountains; to their right mountains. There was nowhere to turn. They grumbled and shouted at Moses for leading them into desperate situation and forgot about the God who had been with them through the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. But just when they thought that was nowhere to found, He made a way where there seemed to be no way. Here is the lesson: Just when you think you are at your wits end and he is nowhere to be found – that’s when he opens your eyes to realize that you’ve been right his hand all along. He says – I will always be with you – Always!
