InnerState 365 Days

Today’s InnerState 365 Days Thoughtful Travel

|Road Map|
Colossians 1:28
[28 ] Him we proclaim, warning
everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone
mature in Christ.

|Cross Roads|
Matthew 19:21
21 Jesus said to
him
, “If you would be perfect (Mature), go, sell what you
possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come,
follow me.”

1 Corinthians 2:6
Wisdom from the Spirit
6 Yet among the
mature we do impart wisdom, although
it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to
pass away.
Philippians 3:15
15 Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if
in anything
you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you.

Colossians 1:28
28 Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all
wisdom, that
we may present everyone
mature in Christ.
Colossians 4:12
12 Epaphras,
who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, greets you, always
struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may
stand
mature and fully assured in all the will
of God.

James 1:4
4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be
perfect (mature) and complete, lacking in
nothing.

James 3:2
2 For we all stumble in many ways. And if
anyone does not stumble in what he says,
he is a perfect man (mature man),
able also to
bridle his whole body.

Genesis 17:1
Abraham and the Covenant of Circumcision
17 When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord
appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be
blameless (mature).

|Check Point|
It was not enough for Paul to see people make a
profession of faith in Christ, as important as this is. Teleios (the greek word for
Mature)
could be translated as “perfect,” but full
perfection will be attained only when Christ returns and believers are fully
transformed. Until that time, the maturity Christians are to seek stands in
contrast with the immaturity of infancy (cf.
Eph. 4:14).

|Park &
Pray|
Am I actively seeking and craving that God will bring me
into the place of maturity? Am I pursuing a life of surrender and purity? Have
I made up my mind to grow in my walk with God and not settle for anything less
than perfection?
Dear Lord, please help me today to toil with all your
energy that is so powerfully at work within me to lay aside every weight and sin
which cling so closely that I may be perfect and complete – lacking nothing.
AMEN!
